⚡AVAS MONDAY – Technical possibilities GREWUS – CAN
Exciting news! I am thrilled to announce that our team at GREWUS has made significant advancements in the field of technical capabilities for CAN compatibility.
Our GREWUS AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) operates through a CAN interface, offering seamless integration into your vehicle. Depending on your specific requirements, the control can be achieved through either the “Base frame Format” CAN 2.0A (11-Bit) or the “Extended frame Format” CAN 2.0B (29-Bit). This is made possible with the CAN H and CAN L inputs integrated into our AVAS.
We can customize the AVAS firmware precisely to ensure a perfect match with your vehicle’s CAN network. The baud rate (symbol rate) can reach up to 1 MHz, although 250k / 500k is typically used.
Adapting the AVAS to your vehicle is a breeze. We simply require the speed-dependent CAN ID commands generated by your vehicle and the coding information related to the gear or automatic transmission position. These commands are interpreted by the AVAS, enabling the calculation of the corresponding pitch to modulate the base tone. The outcome? A speed-dependent vehicle sound experience.
If you provide us with the base tone as a WAV file, we will seamlessly convert it into a format that our AVAS can comprehend, securely storing it for future use. The CAN ID control commands are typically exchanged in a dbc format or CAN matrix.
Once the customization process is complete, we will equip the AVAS with the specially programmed firmware tailored specifically for your vehicle.
At GREWUS, we are committed to harnessing the latest technological advancements to enhance the driving experience. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or would like to explore how our AVAS can elevate your vehicle’s sound system.
